This process typically takes under 5 minutes:
Step 1: Dampen hair & secure ribbon - Lightly dampen your hair and secure the ribbon with the claw clip at the top of your head.
Step 2: Twist hair - Twist your hair around the ribbon starting at the crown of your head and working your way down to the ends of your hair.
Step 3: Wait! - Repeat on the opposite side, securing the ends with scrunchies. You may keep it in for two or three hours throughout the day with slightly moist hair or overnight with slightly damp or dry hair.
Step 4: Reveal gorgeous curls! - Remove the scrunchies and raise the ribbon, shaking your hair out as you do so.
Is it suitable for all hair types?
Yes, our heatless curlers are suitable for all hair kinds and lengths, including naturally wavy hair. We recommend that type 3A and above (very curly) hair be dried straight with a brush and dryer before application.
Can you use the Magic Curler with hair extensions?
Yes! The Magic Curler may be worn with hair extensions. The curling ribbon works well with all hair types.
Should I use it on moist or dry hair?
Applying the curling ribbon to hair that is 80% dry will produce the greatest results for curls that last all day. Your curls will be nicely defined and the frizz will be minimized.
Is it comfortable to sleep in?
The Magic curler body is soft, allowing you to sleep comfortably when you lay on it at night. You also remove the claw clip before going to bed so that it does not poke you while you sleep.
Is it just necessary to wear it at night?
Certainly not! We've observed fantastic benefits after wearing it for 2-3 hours during the day. You may also speed up the drying process by using a hair dryer.
- Cold hand wash or mild cycle machine wash separately (with protective net bag).
- Use a pH neutral or gentle detergent.
- Air dry in a cool, shaded location away from direct sunshine.
- We recommend washing the heatless curler once every 1-2 months, although this is optional and may vary based on usage frequency.

This cuts my "get ready" time in half!!! Make sure to follow the instructions or the curls will not come out well at all. You have to keep adding pieces of hair as you wrap it around the curler, similar to French braiding. Don't skip on dampening your hair either! The longer you leave it in and the tighter you wind your hair, the longer the curls last. I usually leave it over night, but in the picture I only had it in for two hours and it still came out beautiful! I thought it would be uncomfortable to sleep in, but it's not. I am obsessed!!
Once you get a good technique down these curls look so good. my hair is long and super thick so i was kind of skeptical about this but it’s long enough to where all of my hair gets curled. curl right after blow drying and spray with a light hold hairspray in the morning to get them to last the longest
It works. My curls came out pretty. Sleeping with it on was a little challenging if you like sleeping on your sides. Side note: I did dampen my hair and added mousse so my curls would stay.
I have long & fine hair but a lot of it. This was actually pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. I definitely recommend brushing and smoothing your hair as much as possible beforehand and using a spray bottle. If you have a lot of hair, you are better off applying with damp hair or else it might be wet still in the morning. It most likely will require a few touch ups but it turns out great every time and is much more efficient than a curling iron. I love this!
